IAG Performance 1000 Series FA24 Closed Deck Short Block 2022-2026 WRX

The IAG 1000 Series closed deck short block is built for the FA24 in the 2022-2026 Subaru WRX. IAG rates it for up to 1000 BHP and calls it a weekend racer: streetable, but ready for the drag strip and road course. It combines forged internals with IAG's Fire-Lock head gasket system.

Build details

• Case halves: Brand new Subaru 2.4L WRX, machined on a Haas VF-4SS CNC mill for IAG Closed Deck inserts
• Closed deck: Case heated, inserts frozen in liquid nitrogen, pressed in and machined to a mirror finish; small passages keep coolant reaching the deck
• Bore: 94.25mm, bored and honed with deck plates on an in-house Sunnen hone, with custom piston-to-wall clearance
• Crankshaft: New 2022+ Subaru 2.4L heat-treated WRX (FHI FA24)
• Connecting rods: IAG-Spec +2mm H-Beam forged with ARP 625+ rod bolts
• Pistons: IAG-Spec JE FSR 94.25mm 2618 forged, electroless nickel plated tops and ring area, JE Pro Seal ring set, .230" wall .866" H13 wrist pins, clips, Perfect Skirt coating and offset wrist pins
• Bearings: ACL rod and main bearings
• Head sealing: Fire-Lock receiver groove at the top of each cylinder; drilled for 14mm head studs
• Assembly: Balanced and blueprinted; sealed with new OEM main/case bolts and sealant
• Compression ratio: 10.5:1, calculated with Fire-Lock gaskets

Before you order

Listed for the 2022-2026 WRX with the FA24. IAG Fire-Lock .051" head gaskets with the IAG-Spec Alloy Ring Set (PN IAG-ENG-1760) are required, and both the gaskets and the 14mm head studs are sold separately. Send us your VIN or engine code and we will confirm fitment before you order.
