The Terrova range here covers freshwater models and Riptide Terrova models, which are built for saltwater use as part of Minn Kota’s Riptide range. Thrust is in the model name on the 55, 80 and 112, while the QUEST versions are driven by Minn Kota’s brushless QUEST motor. Shaft lengths vary by model: pick one long enough to keep the motor well under the surface when the bow rises in a chop.

Which Minn Kota Terrova model?
Start with the water. The Terrova 55, 80, 112 and QUEST are freshwater models; the Riptide Terrova 55, 80, 112 and QUEST are the saltwater versions. The freshwater Terrova 55, 80 and 112 list 12-volt, 24-volt and 36-volt systems respectively. QUEST models carry no thrust number in their name, so check the listing. Shaft options start at 45″ on the freshwater Terrova 55, 80 and QUEST and reach 100″ on the Riptide Terrova QUEST.
