The two most recent Civic Si generations are the 10th gen, built on the 2016-2021 Civic with the Si offered as a coupe and sedan from 2017, and the 11th gen, a sedan-only Si from 2022. Both use a 1.5-liter turbocharged four with a six-speed manual and a limited-slip differential; the 10th gen Si is rated at 205 hp and the 11th gen at 200 hp, both with 192 lb-ft.

Why the generation matters for parts
Exhausts, intakes and suspension parts are specific to the chassis, and within the 10th gen the coupe and sedan often take different exhausts. The MAPerformance cat-backs we carry, for example, are separate coupe and sedan parts, while the Remark cat-back is listed for the 11th gen sedan and the closely related 2023-and-later Acura Integra. Always match the year and body style in the listing name.
How to tell which Civic Si you have
A coupe Si is always a 10th gen, because the 11th gen Si is sedan-only. For sedans, the model year decides it: the 11th gen Civic arrived for 2022 with a cleaner, lower body. Parts listings often quote the full chassis years of the 10th-generation Civic, so read the fitment notes as well as the title.
What changed for the 11th gen
Honda carried the 1.5-liter turbo engine and six-speed manual over, with revised tuning, a stiffer body, and a new interior and exterior. Rated power dropped by 5 hp while torque stayed at 192 lb-ft. The coupe was discontinued, leaving the sedan as the only Si body style.
Civic Si and Type R
The Si sits below the Civic Type R, which uses a larger 2.0-liter turbo engine and its own suspension and brakes. Parts are not interchangeable between Si and Type R in most cases.
Common upgrades
- Cat-back exhaust: more sound without touching the catalytic converter; see axle-back vs cat-back.
- Clutch: a stronger clutch for added power; the ACT kit we carry lists a 363 ft-lb capacity, 63% over the factory clutch, and covers the 10th and 11th gen Si and 1.5T Civic. See signs of a bad clutch.
- Intake: see what does a cold air intake do?
