The 6R80 is Ford’s six-speed automatic, based on the ZF 6HP26 design and built by Ford. It replaced an older four-speed in the F-150 and was used in F-150, Expedition and Mustang models through much of the 2010s, until Ford moved to the ten-speed 10R80. Bellhousings and wiring differ between engine families, so match your engine as well as the code.
